New York, NY – [September 9, 2025] – Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP (FRB) is pleased to announce that Michael L. Landsman, Esq. has been promoted to Co-Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, leading the practice alongside Ariel S. Holzer, Esq.

Michael joined Falcon Rappaport & Berkman in April 2025, and prior to joining FRB, Michael was Co-Managing Partner at Holm & O'Hara LLP. His promotion to Co-Chair highlights his long-standing dedication to providing exceptional legal counsel to a wide range of real estate clients and managing the team required to provide such services.

With more than 25 years of experience in commercial and investment real estate, tax-deferred exchanges, estate planning, and trusts, Michael has earned a reputation for creating practical, flexible solutions that help clients navigate complex, multifaceted transactions. He has built strong, lasting relationships with clients across industries, including real estate investors, entrepreneurs, not-for-profits, and hospitality professionals.

Michael is a regular speaker at industry events and conducts monthly seminars for real estate professionals. He is also the author of Key Strategies for Real Estate Investors (Big Sky Funding LLC, 2022).

"Michael’s deep understanding of the legal intricacies in real estate transactions, combined with his ability to anticipate client needs, makes him an ideal leader for our Real Estate Practice Group," said FRB Co-Managing Partner Kenneth J. Falcon. "We are excited for the future of the group under his leadership alongside Ariel Holzer."

Ariel Holzer continues his role as Co-Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. Ariel’s expertise spans commercial transactions, development, zoning, land use, and real estate litigation, with a strong background in major development projects and real estate administrative law, including the Willis Tower in Chicago, the acquisition, financing, and sale of the International Toy Center in Manhattan, and the refinancing of Bush Terminal (Industry City) in Brooklyn.

"Working with Michael as Co-Chair is an exciting opportunity to blend our diverse experience for the benefit of our clients,” said Ariel. “His depth of knowledge in commercial and investment real estate perfectly aligns with my focus on development, complex transactions and financing, zoning, and litigation. I look forward to our collaboration as we help clients navigate every stage of the real estate process with efficiency and confidence.”

Together, Michael and Ariel will lead FRB’s Real Estate Practice Group, which provides a full range of transactional real estate services to clients throughout New York State and across the country. The group is known for its ability to streamline complex transactions, including residential and commercial real estate closings, 1031 exchanges, triple net (NNN) properties, real estate portfolio structuring, and lease negotiations.

“FRB has a well-earned reputation for delivering practical, results-driven solutions fitted to each client’s unique needs. This aligns perfectly with the reasons I decided to become an attorney,” commented Michael. “My new role as Co-Chair of FRB’s Real Estate Practice Group presents an exciting opportunity to continue advancing this perspective on legal practice. Ariel’s interests and expertise complement my own. I am eager to continue building a top-notch real estate team for the benefit of FRB’s current and future clients.”
