James Black II Appointed to ADDAPT Board of Directors

Falcon Rappaport & Berkman LLP is pleased to announce that James Black II, FRB General Counsel and Partner in the Corporate & Securities Practice Group, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of ADDAPT, Long Island’s defense and aerospace trade organization. 

ADDAPT is dedicated to helping Long Island’s defense and aerospace companies secure private and government contracts. The organization supports the region’s longstanding defense and aerospace manufacturing community, which is built on a deep industrial base, a highly educated workforce, and a robust network of suppliers serving original equipment manufacturers and the Department of Defense. 

Jim brings more than 35 years of experience in corporate and government compliance, government contracts, trade regulation, and information technology. Throughout his career, he has advised major government contractors and companies in manufacturing, technology, and development industries on complex compliance and contracting matters. 

His experience includes managing multimillion-dollar bid and proposal processes, developing export compliance protocols, creating corporate compliance programs, and advising on government acquisition and trade regulations. Jim also teaches Corporate Compliance and Ethics as an adjunct professor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. 

Jim’s appointment reflects his longstanding involvement in Long Island’s business, legal, and government contracting communities, as well as his commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen the region’s defense and aerospace sectors.
