FRB Partner Kyle M. Lawrence Promoted to Co-Chair of Corporate & Securities Practice Group
NEW YORK, N.Y., — September 20, 2026 — Falcon Rappaport & Berkman ("FRB") is pleased to announce that Kyle Lawrence has been promoted to Co-Chair of the Firm's Corporate & Securities Practice Group. Lawrence, a Partner at FRB since joining the Firm in 2021, will serve in the leadership role alongside Founding Partner and Corporate & Securities Practice Group Chair Jeffrey Berkman.
Kyle is an experienced corporate and securities attorney whose practice focuses on corporate transactions, private securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, corporate finance, and strategic business arrangements. He represents companies, founders, investors, and business owners across a broad range of industries, including telecommunications, food and nutraceutical manufacturing and distribution, emerging technologies, retail, commercial and private lending, and software development, and regularly serves as lead counsel on complex transactions from negotiation through closing and beyond.
"Kyle has been an integral part of our corporate team, and his experience, judgment, and commitment to our clients make him exceptionally well suited for this leadership role," said Jeffrey Berkman. "I am looking forward to working alongside him as Co-Chair and seeing Kyle thrive in this new role as we continue to strengthen and grow the practice. Kyle brings a rare combination of deep transactional expertise and genuine dedication to client service that will be instrumental in shaping the future of our corporate group."
Over the past 20 years, Lawrence has represented both buyers and sellers in numerous mergers and acquisitions, including transactions involving strategic buyers, private equity funds, and private equity-backed companies in the United States and internationally. His securities and financing experience includes representing issuers, founders, and investors in private securities offerings, venture capital and startup financings, and matters involving FINRA and SEC regulatory considerations. His ability to advise from both sides of the table, representing issuers and founders on the one hand, and investors on the other, gives clients the benefit of years of perspective on deal structure, negotiation dynamics, and regulatory compliance.
In addition to his work with the Corporate & Securities Practice Group, Lawrence is Co-Chair of FRB's Digital Assets Practice Group, where he advises clients on the United States and international corporate and securities considerations associated with blockchain, cryptocurrency, Web3, and fintech projects.
FRB's Corporate & Securities Practice Group represents startups, emerging and established companies, entrepreneurs, founders, investors, family offices, and private investment funds across a wide range of corporate matters. The group counsels clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business succession and exit planning, company formation, private securities offerings, private investment funds, corporate taxation, compliance, data privacy, government contracts, and other strategic business matters.
Lawrence earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English from Tulane University. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and was selected to the New York Metro Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2016 and 2017.
