Dear Clients and Friends:

We write to update you on recent activities at FRB.

First, we are thrilled to welcome Christopher Warren as New Jersey Managing Partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Practice Group alongside Co-Managing Partner Moish Peltz. In conjunction with Chris’ arrival, FRB launched its new Newark, New Jersey office at 3 Gateway Center. Learn more and read the full announcement here.

Also, we are excited to share that as part of the New Jersey office launch, we've created an AI-Native incubator focused on developing agentic AI tools and advancing responsible AI integration across legal workflows, as well as a new value-based litigation subscription model out of the Newark office, piloted by Christopher Warren and Moish Peltz. The program replaces traditional six-minute billing increments with predictable monthly pricing for recurring litigation work while giving clients access to a secure AI-native workspace designed to enhance collaboration and transparency while maintaining attorney-client privilege. The initiative reflects FRB’s continued commitment to rethinking how legal services are delivered in an AI-driven environment. Learn more here.

Additionally, we are proud to announce that FRB Founding Partner Jeffrey Berkman has joined the Board of the World Law Foundation, a Madrid-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the rule of law worldwide. Jeff’s appointment reflects his decades of experience advising businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs on complex domestic and cross-border matters. Learn more and read the full announcement here.

Lastly, FRB General Counsel and Corporate & Securities Partner James Black recently joined an eight-day VIP delegation trip to Ukraine organized by the Renew Democracy Initiative (RDI). Jim participated in meetings with senior Ukrainian officials, humanitarian organizations, business leaders, and members of the defense industry, gaining firsthand insight into the war’s political, humanitarian, and operational realities. His experience further reinforced FRB’s commitment to supporting organizations operating in complex, high-risk environments through the firm’s compliance and impact validation practice. Learn more about the trip and Jim’s observations here.

In Memory of J. William "Bill" Eshelman 1945 - 2026

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our dear colleague, Bill Eshelman

Bill Eshelman came from a family of generational legal and military service (from the American Revolution to Vietnam), as well as an “Academic Family." He was the third generation actively involved in institutions of higher education. He concentrated his professional and academic efforts in the area of Business Ethics, generally consequent to his experience in advising and representing businesses (at all levels of the Supply Chain), on the full range of business relationships, including compliance programs, related trade regulation and licensing, controlled information, performance and cost accounting-related issues in government, construction and commercial contract contexts and related litigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bill’s family and friends as they navigate this profound loss.
