Also, we're proud to share that our litigation team, led by FRB Partner Chris Slowik, secured a major win for our client in its pursuit of a New York cannabis license. The Supreme Court of Albany County annulled the State’s denial of our client’s retail cannabis license, ruling that the Cannabis Control Board’s restrictive policies were unlawfully enacted without following required administrative procedures. The decision underscores the importance of proper procedural compliance and ensures fairness and accountability in cannabis licensing. Read more about the case here.

He’s known for handling complex, overlapping matters with a thoughtful, people-first approach and has built strong relationships with clients across industries—including real estate, hospitality, the arts, and nonprofits.
