Tech Counsel Update – TechLaw 2.0: I’m Back … We’ve Got Some Catching Up to Do

It's me, Mark Grossman, I’m back—and so is TechLaw 2.0. Except I’ve renamed it Tech Counsel Update.

If you’re receiving this, you were probably on my list back in 2018 — the last time I published my TechLaw bulletin. Maybe we met at a conference, a speaking engagement, a networking event, through my column in the Miami Herald, CIO Magazine, PC World, or the Daily Business Review — or maybe you read my book, Technology Law: What Every Business Needs to Know or simply a longtime friend.

However we crossed paths, I’m glad we did—and I’m glad you’re here now.

For a while, I stepped back from practicing law to co-found a social media talent management company. It was a wild ride—we built something real, scaled fast, and ultimately had a well-timed exit when we sold to a larger player.

Then, I realized I missed my core: practicing law, negotiating complex deals, and collaborating with smart clients doing interesting, high-impact work.

In addition to reviving my blog, I have news.

A few months ago, I joined Falcon Rappaport & Berkman as a Partner, and it’s been a great fit.

With today’s bulletin, I’m reconnecting—with my small to middle-market company network, the Fortune 500, and new clients as well.

Recently, I did the math: I’ve closed over a billion dollars in deals. That’s decades of hands-on work—deal by deal—and I’m proud of that track record.

At FRB, I have the platform to offer a full spectrum of legal services—tech transactions, tax, complex negotiations, litigation, M&A, and beyond.

Let’s reconnect. What have you been working on? What’s happening with you personally? Send me a quick note and connect with me on LinkedIn.

You can reach me at mg@frblaw.com — I’d love to hear from you. Let's keep the conversation going.

My first reborn Tech Counsel Update will cover negotiating skills.
