Webinar: An Owners Overview of Local Law 97

Oct 23, 2023

Scheduled to take effect in 2024, Local Law 97 will create an entirely new environmental compliance framework for any New York City building larger than 25,000 square feet (and in some cases, buildings that are smaller), in order to meet new energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions limits.

FRB’s recent webinar hosted by Ariel S. Holzer, Esq., Chair of the Real Estate Practice Group, and Partner Christopher M. Slowik, Esq., specializing in New York City real estate administrative law and compliance, offers a practical guide to the new environmental requirements of Local Law 97, including carbon limits based on size and use and costs of exceeding the limits, reporting requirements, possible exemptions and alternative compliance requirements. Our speakers also discuss practical steps that property owners can take now to plan for compliance and reduce potential costs when the new regulation takes effect next year.

Learn to prepare your property's future while ensuring compliance with New York City's environmental mandates in the webinar above.
