Jeffrey W. Berkman Speaks at INTA Conference on the Evolving Business of M&A in the Age of AI
Mar 24, 2026
FRB Founding Partner Jeffrey W. Berkman was a featured speaker at the International Trademark Association’s 2026 conference, The Business of M&A: Navigating the Convergence of Intangible Assets and Capital in the Age of AI, at Columbia University.
The two-day conference brought together practitioners from across the legal, financial, and innovation sectors to explore how intellectual property and artificial intelligence are reshaping the modern M&A landscape. With intangible assets now playing a central role in many transactions, the program examined how these developments are influencing valuation, deal structure, tax treatment, risk management, and post-close strategy.
Jeff presented on the session, M&A Fundamentals—Types, Strategies, Stakeholder Roles, and Success Factors, which provided attendees with an overview of the M&A process and the strategic considerations that drive successful transactions. The panel also addressed the growing role of intellectual property in dealmaking and its increasing significance across industries.
As companies continue to prioritize innovation and intangible value, conversations like these are becoming increasingly important for business leaders and advisors alike. We were proud to see Jeff represent Falcon Rappaport & Berkman at this timely and insightful event.
