Professional Experience

Ashley is an attorney in FRB’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Elder Law Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on Article 81 proceedings, Medicaid applications and planning, estate planning, estate litigation, and general litigation.

Prior to joining FRB, Ashley spent several years practicing litigation, including serving as in-house counsel for a national insurance company and as a litigation associate at a large law firm in Manhattan. During this time, she focused primarily on insurance defense and litigation involving personal injury, premises liability, general liability, and automobile liability. She also worked with a Special Investigations Unit, defending insurance companies against allegations of consumer fraud. Her litigation experience includes conducting depositions and examinations under oath, appearing at court conferences, participating in mediations and settlement negotiations, and drafting motions and appeals.

Ashley subsequently transitioned her practice to elder law, where she focused on Medicaid planning and applications, estate planning, and Article 81 guardianship proceedings. She brings this combination of litigation and elder law experience to her practice at FRB, providing clients with both strong advocacy and a practical understanding of the legal, financial, and personal considerations involved in complex matters.

At FRB, Ashley represents clients in Article 81 proceedings, including matters involving the appointment of guardians and the protection of vulnerable individuals. She also assists clients and families with Medicaid applications and planning, estate planning, estate litigation, and a variety of general litigation matters.
