Professional Experience
Ashley worked for two and a half years as a litigation associate, serving as in-house counsel for Liberty Mutual and as an associate at Lewis, Brisbois, Bisgaard & Smith LLP in Manhattan’s financial district. At these large firms, she primarily focused on insurance defense and litigation involving personal injury, premises liability, general liability, and automobile liability. She was also part of the special investigations unit, defending insurance companies against consumer fraud. Her responsibilities included conducting depositions and examinations under oath, attending court conferences, and participating in mediations and settlement negotiations. She was also responsible for drafting motions and appeals.
After transitioning from insurance defense, Ashley spent two years as an elder law associate at Enea Scanlan & Sirignano LLP, a boutique law firm located in White Plains, where she focused on Medicaid planning, Estate planning and Article 81 Guardianship cases. She now joins FRB to assist our Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Elder Law Practice Groups.
